The Kasomoulis Olive Mill

Our Place - Ano Potamia Ano Potamia, one of the oldest villages in the area, unfolds amphitheatrically with views of the Aegean Sea and is surrounded by an endless olive grove.
Stone houses, picturesque paths, and the natural landscape connect visitors with the history, olive cultivation, and the rhythm of local life.

About the Museum The Olive Oil Museum is housed in the restored Kasomoulis Olive Mill, an authentic 19th-century olive press.
Through exhibits and live storytelling, visitors discover how olives were transformed into oil using stone, wood, and human effort, and why olive oil has always been central to everyday life in the region.

TOUR PROGRAM

Welcome & Introduction
The tour begins with a warm welcome and a brief introduction to the history of the area, the olive tree, and the olive mill itself, setting the context for the experience that follows.

Olive Cultivation
An overview of traditional and modern methods of olive cultivation and harvesting, highlighting the close connection between the olive tree, local life, and the region’s economy.

Traditional & Modern Production
An introduction to how the olive mill operated in the past, through authentic machinery and tools, combined with historical references to olive oil production methods.

Olive Oil Quality & Tasting
Information about the quality and characteristics of olive oil, with an optional tasting of different varieties, including local olive oils.

Visit to the Shop
At the end of the tour, visitors may browse a small selection of souvenirs and olive-related products available at the museum shop.
